Eddie Lacy gets fat-shamed by his boss

Green Bay Packers head coach Mike McCarthy has very publicly called out running back Eddie Lacy for packing on too many pounds.

 From his end-of-season press conference:

Well, I mean Eddie Lacy, he’s got a lot of work to do. I think I’m stating the obvious. His offseason last year was not good enough and he never recovered from it. I had a chance to talk to Eddie today and that was pretty much the majority of our whole conversation. So he has to get it done because he cannot play at the weight that he played at this year.

That’s ice cold. As someone who also struggles with weight fluctuation, I can guarantee that Eddie Lacy knows he’s overweight. And he’s probably super insecure about it. And then having to have a talk with your boss about your weight would be devastating. But then, after that conversation, your boss puts you on blast and tells the media (the people whose job is to spread info as far as possible) what you assume they already know: that you’re too fat.

That is some bullshit, ever-svelte Mike McCarthy.

Don’t listen to ’em, Eddie. You’re perfect just the way you are.
